Svatá Hora is a shrine complex on a hill above the town of Příbram in central Bohemia. At its heart is a small statue of Our Lady of Svatá Hora. In the 17th century the Jesuits took charge of the site and enlarged it in Baroque style, and since the 19th century the shrine has been run by the Redemptorists.
Pilgrims come to pray before the statue of Mary, crowned in the 18th century, and in the chapels surrounding the basilica. Covered stairs lead from the town up the hill, and the faithful climb them to the shrine as on a pilgrim route.
