The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima at Krzeptówki in Zakopane is run by the Pallottine Fathers. The church, built in the Podhale highland style, was raised as a votive offering of thanks for saving the life of John Paul II after the assassination attempt of 13 May 1981. The pope consecrated it during his pilgrimage to Poland in 1997.
